I like the Conference Name page that was added. We will also need a # on Twitter. Check by Goggling the names and # if already taken too. Also remember to review other conferences for ideas.

Great - Everyone has a software tool that seems ok. Management topics now need details. Start adding details on your wiki pages and make sure management terms are used. :Innovative presentations" is not a topic in the text for example. Read the project overview for details of what should be in the workshops. Also look at other conference websites to see how they describe their conference and workshops or presentations.

We need to start thinking how this site should be organized to find key info. For example, at this point we just need one calendar with key dates. Perhaps even one plan with Workshops just tracking next key action items and identifying risks in their own workshop Team. Some important info is getting hard to find?

Prashanthi, Nice job adding the schedule. Make sure on the website at least, you also include the intro and concluding Q & A. I noticed that we have team names, but no actual title of our Workshops. Some may be the same, but often not related.

Prashanthi, our management topic is persuasion not communication. Can you please change that?

I have made the change.

ANNOUNCEMENT: I made a mistake with the dates yesterday. Our conference is NOT on the same day as play day. Sorry guys I've just been really busy lately and the dates got confused in my head. My apologies.

chris gill said

Hi, no problem. I admit your had me going!Everyone needs to mark this date off on their calendar or agenda and make sure teachers take your other class, especially if they mention a test on the day. It is an all day event. Bring your forms.

Everyone please contribute your ideas for the tee-shirts on the tee shirt page! We need to let Ms. Cooper know by May 14,2014

Hi, As I mentioned. It is too late. Not enough interest and generated and lead time too long. thanks for trying.

i dont see the revisions to the schedule

chris gill said

at 5:57 pm on May 20, 2014

What schedule and what revisions do you mean? Is this a reply to an earlier comment? If so Hit reply on the comment. If you mean the schedule on this page the only thing I see missing is Exec Intro and conclusion is missing. I did not compare with the website. Is it different. Has someone asked for a time change. Check with class as I know one student in P2 who has to leave after lunch so do not change unless discuss.

My daughter had to tell me what mvm means. I can see you your were asking related to your digital conference poster. I did have some ideas for the poster you added which you included the link from this page which is good. Thanks for doing the poster. Others who have a better eye for design and art should comment too please!!

Dalya said

at 10:33 pm on May 20, 2014

where did you put the poster, and sorry i forgot i wasnt speaking to a student. If i am to have it to actually effect population at the school im gonna need a decision made by lastest tomorrow so what ever it is by than is what im printing.

Sandra said

at 11:21 pm on May 20, 2014

Mr Gill, I think what Dalya means is the schedule regarding who's going when because today in class we were told that MR. Remtula will be speaking, so won't we have to push the times?

Balaj said

at 11:38 pm on May 20, 2014

No. because he's speaking during the time allocated for the introduction.

chris gill said

at 8:49 am on May 21, 2014

Looks like you found my suggestions on the digital poster. If it is easy change otherwise good enough and Tweet it out or someone else can when you give us the go ahead.

Important article before the conference, talking about the keys to a good presentation: http://www.thepresentationskills.com/a-complete-article-about-presentation-skills/

chris gill said

Tweet it to #pcstlt. What is the key tip for us tomorrow?

chris gill said

at 10:02 pm on May 22, 2014

Good artile. I liked the "It is about dialogue, not monologue" message. Try to make your presentation into an interesting story that flows and engages audience. Getting a good Q and A will also be important.

Sandra said

New Intro looks good. Will look at conclusion. May want to edit some of the more complicated wording from "Text" slides to make it more your own words. I also wonder if Marketing might go earlier to get people using Twitter to Tweet and info on #pcstlt and to look at TweetDeck screen.

chris gill said

May want a Globe image on slide about Globalization and also Intellectual Capital slide may want to ensure good with terms and add image? Image of class. Intellectual Capital is people power or human resources instead of equipment and machinery in the manufacturing age. Working with your mind or intellect. Ides, creativity.
If when doing the conclusion you can relate to the presentations. Internet = Microsoft and Google Cloud computing trend.

FYI. I may be in room 102 printing material in the morning on their colour printer and also will try to print out exec presentations so they can review and write notes if you want to add something when you see the presentations.
