Hey Project Managers! So here all of you can address any questions that you guys have as well as upload the Project Plans for your workshop groups.

 

General Topics:

1. Here is the MOM for the meeting that was held on Friday. April.11.2014 - Functional Team MOM- Friday. April.11.2014.docx

2. The Final Project Plan, Risk Analysis, MOM, Schedule and Agenda for the meetings are due on Thursday. April. 17.2014.

3. So far I have looked and commented on the project plans of : Joeleen, Irvika, Sharukh and Laura. 

4.The next Meeting will be held on Wednesday. April. 15. 2014. In this meeting we will peer review the final project plans. I have checked a few of the project plans, and will provide my opinion on it. However, I believe it will be more helpful if we review each other's, so during tomorrow's meeting we will peer review each other's project plan.

5. Today I talked to each of you individually and provided my feedback on your project plans. Now you can update your project plans and upload them onto the Wiki by Thursday. April.17.2014.  In addition, I also suggested a few of you to have a few more risk analysis.

6. I have looked at most of your project plans, so far they all look pretty great! I suggest that each of you review the other project plans.

7. So today we had team meetings with Mr.Gill and so far we have solved most of the problems that were brought up. Since I have talked to each of you individually I know that most of you have completed your deliverables and are making final adjustments. So far good job everybody!

8. The Individual Sections are due tomorrow that is Friday. April.15.2014, please ensure that all the members within your workshop teams have uploaded all their work aswell as submitted it on-line, Overall this week was very successful. Good job!

 

Marketing - April 28 - May 2 

 

1. Last week was a very successful week and I hope that week is just as successful! Today the executives came to each of your workshop team and had a quick status update. Most of the workshop teams are functioning very well, however there are some teams that need to catch up. I am always available to  help as well as provide feedback on any material that you have completed. Please inform me or any of the other executives if you are facing any problems or need help. 

2. Today we had a really quick meeting and I believe that most of the teams will be able to upload their final presentation as well as the script for Friday. May.2.2014. I will be able to help any groups that find that they are unable to meet the deadline by tomorrow evening. I will not be in class tomorrow as I will be attending the Sci-Tech Retreat tomorrow. If you have any questions or concerns please comment on this page.

3. Hope you guys were able to work in class and since no one has asked me for any help, I assume that everyone is ready to upload their final presentation that is due Friday. May.2.2014.  

 

Practice Run and Marketing Launch- May 5 - May 9:

 

1. Monday. May. 5.2014- Today we had the practice presentations in class and tomorrow we will continue to do the same. All the presentations had their strengths and weaknesses, however I want to thank all the workshop teams for completing their presentations, Tomorrow we will have the rest of the groups present as well as have Functional Team meetings or Divisional Team meetings if there is time at the end.

 

Marketing Launch and Practice Run- May 12 - May 16:

 

1. Our Marketing Campaign is set to launch on Tuesday. May, 13.2014.- Completed Launched on Friday May 16. 2014

2. We will have our practice run in the auditorium on Wednesday. May, 14.2014. Completed

3. Conference practice run in Auditorium on Friday May 16 2014. Completed

 

Final Changes and Conference Execution: May 20 - May 23

 

1. It's finally here! The Students Today, Leaders Tomorrow Conference is THIS Friday, that is May 23 in the auditorium! I believe that all the workshop teams have great presentations! Keep up the good work and let's make this conference a huge success!

Hi, I suggest the project managers load there plan on their workshop team page. Perhaps this page becomes the overall plan and an issue page for each group? If anything is behind or concerns?

Risk Review. Looks good. Everyone should look at it. Perhaps it should be on a separate page instead of a doc and then people can edit and comment. I like the recommendations to manage the risks. The class and then auditorium rehearsal will help. Next everyone has to read and buy into your recommedned solutions. Discuss and add to agendas in your next divisional (C-Suite) and Functional Meetings to make sure all buy in.

Project Plan Comment. Looks good. Every C-Suite and PM needs to read and comment and give you feedback if issues or changes. Perhaps we need to print on large paper and put up in class? Could you also create a calendar with key deliverable as this is often easier to understand. A Table on the Wiki is fine on a project Plan page for example. You might be able to embed google calendar on the Wiki. Ask CIO?

Prashanthi - can you get PM's to ensure there is a good copy of all presentations (perhaps also duty roster and speaking notes if lucky?)on the wiki today. Can you and execs also finalize name, brochure contents, and add proposed material to the website so we can see the website before launch. We do not need everything on on day 1. All proposed launch info should be on the wiki today. IS this possible? Talk to Eryn, Sydney, and Balaj and discuss what is practical to finish today. Balaj can publish the webpage with a password for the class to have a chance to see before we open it to public. He can also give exec team and myself an account that allows editing so that Eryn and Sydney can add their material.

Mr.Gill, we had a quick executive meeting today and so far we have decided a name for the conference and I asked all the students present today if they liked it and 80% of them did. Most of the groups are almost done their presentation and some are working on their speaking notes. The brochure is done and all the material that is to be added is going to be added to a new page.

I also created a new page and form for everyone including exec to Submit final presentation on the class website so I can easily save and have organized for Monday. Great work.

Prashanthi, Look at my class calandar on the class website as I have added some practice days in the auditorium. We have to make sure that the Stage Crew Form is completed and handed into the office for each time and day. Balaj may have already been doing this.

Hi, I have already sent out names and invite to teachers. We need to remind out class to ask teachers to e-mail me to take the other classes you are in to the conference so you do not miss anything. Also remind the teachers that they can take their other classes even if not in grade 12.
